FREDS PASS POSITIVE DOG TRAINING CLUB

Well it has been a very busy time at Freds Pass Positive Dog Training Club over the past few months. We had a stall at NT Pet Expo and did various demonstrations that went well and our lovely CH Tagetarl Rising Star featured in the NT News the following day. We ran a very successful raffle, which I was lucky enough to win!

We are still fundraising having days at Bunnings and Harvey Norman to help with this, with our grand plan of getting our very own shed on Freds Pass Reserve, and then we will have our own space to call home!!

We have been very busy with our trials, having had interstate judges for all our trials this year so far, and their knowledge and help has been invaluable to our members.

We have had several members receive titles already this year and special congratulations to the following people and their lovely dogs:

Community Companion Dog titles to, Michelle Robbins and Max, Alexandria Bailey and Boof, Sue Cooper and Freya, Marion Davey and Frigga.
Novice Obedience title to Fiona Clarke and Ellie.
Jumping dog titles to Fiona Clarke and Ellie, Daphne Sellwood and Star (Tanya handling).
Agility dog titles to Ray Clarke and Inca, Alexandria and Boof.
Jumping Dog Excellent title to Ray Clarke and Inca, and Novice Strategic Pairs to Fiona Clarke and Ellie.

We are right in the middle of our busy season with trials and hope some more titles come along for our members. We are having a great time with the trials and learning from our judges. And we wish all the members the best of luck at all the trials for the rest of the year.

Training sessions for obedience on Tuesday nights and agility training on Thursday evenings are going well with lots of new members.

And we also like to wish Daphne Sellwood all the best on her first judging appointment at our agility trials in September. Also we wish the best of luck to Ray and Fiona Clarke and Sarah Baker and their lovely dogs who are attending the Agility Nationals in Victoria in the last weekend of August.

Regards
Tanya Reichstein, Committee member

DARWIN LADIES KENNEL CLUB

Our AGM was held on the 21st of June and our new and returning committee is as follows Returning to president is Alison Smith and also returning to his post is Steve Russell as treasurer. Our new vice president is Helen Dummond, new secretary is Amie White and our committee is Rochell Watts, Melissa Purich and Brianna Tennyenhuis.

Welcome to those who are new and thank you to those who have come back as without this we couldn't hold our clubs shows.

With only one show for our club left for the year thank you to all who have entered over the past year, congrats to all the winners and a big thanks to all those who have given there time to help out on the show nights without you all we could not go ahead.

A big thanks to Steve and Alison as their organisation and hard work have got DLKC's bank balance sitting at a healthy level so that we can continue on. Also this would not be possible without the last committee and volunteers work on fund raising with our sausage sizzles.

On a much sadder note we say a farewell to Mr Arthur Lane. After only recently celebrating his 90th birthday he recently passed away. He was a well known man to many throughout the dog world and will be missed by many. May you rest in peace.

Next show for DLKC will be on the 11th Oct so hope to see you all there.

Thanks
Amie White, Secretary DLKC
